The short version: this is a free community series. Request a seat, show up, be kind to the people in the room, and let us email you the details. We keep the exact locations private until your seat is confirmed, we are not affiliated with Mothered Media, and we cannot promise the national broadcast will behave. The full terms are below.
Greater Philadelphia Watch Party Week (the "Series") is an independent community event series organized and presented by Socratyc, LLC, doing business as Socratyc and Socratyc Sidekick ("Socratyc," "we," "us"). These terms cover your use of this website, your RSVP, and your attendance at any Series gathering, in person or online. By requesting a seat, joining a gathering, or using this site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not RSVP or attend.
Socratyc’s general Privacy Policy applies to this site and is incorporated here. Where these terms and that policy overlap, the more specific statement in these terms governs the Series.
The Series is held in celebration of National Working Motherhood Week, which is created and produced by Mothered Media. Socratyc is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Mothered Media. The national sessions we watch together are Mothered Media’s programming, streamed under Mothered Media’s own terms, and we do not control their content, schedule, or availability. If a national session changes time, is cancelled, or fails to stream, we will do our best to adapt the gathering on the spot, and we may substitute our own conversation for the broadcast.
Seats are free and limited. Submitting the RSVP form is a request, not a confirmation. We review requests and confirm seats by email, generally in the order received, with a preference for people who live or work in Greater Philadelphia. We may decline or cancel any request at our discretion, including when a gathering is full or when we believe attendance would not be a good fit for the room. If you can no longer attend, please reply to your confirmation email so the seat can go to someone else.
You must be at least 18 years old to request a seat.
Exact venue addresses are shared only with confirmed guests, by email, and only for the gathering you are confirmed for. Please do not post, forward, or publicly share a venue address. Venues are private spaces generously provided by our space sponsors, and each venue has its own rules about access, parking, food, and photography, which you agree to follow while you are there. A space sponsor is a host, not an organizer, and is not responsible for the Series or its content.
When you RSVP, we collect your email address, the days you are interested in, and the boxes you check. We use that information to confirm your seat, send the venue location, send the Working Moms Conversation Guides from Socratyc Sidekick, and send updates about the Series. If you tick the box asking for information on Mothered Media’s free national registration, we will send you a link to register directly with them; we do not share your email with Mothered Media or with any space sponsor. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to hello@socratyc.com to be removed. We do not sell your information. Wherever you live, and in particular if you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to withdraw your consent at any time; email hello@socratyc.com and we will act within 30 days. We keep RSVP data only as long as the Series and its follow-up require, and no longer than twelve months after the last gathering unless you have joined our mailing list. The rest of how we handle data is in the Privacy Policy.
These gatherings work because people are willing to say true things out loud. In return, we ask that you keep what is shared in the room in the room, speak for yourself rather than for others, and treat every person present with respect regardless of how they mother, work, or identify. Harassment, recording of other guests without consent, solicitation, and recruiting for unrelated ventures are not permitted. We may ask anyone to leave a gathering at any time if their behavior makes the room unsafe or unwelcoming, and no refund is owed because no fee was charged.
We may take photographs and short video clips at gatherings for use on this site, on Socratyc and Socratyc Sidekick social media, and in future materials about the Series. By attending, you agree that we may use images in which you appear for these purposes without payment. If you prefer not to be photographed, tell us when you arrive and we will make sure you are not in the frame. We will not record the group conversation itself, and guests may not record it either.
The Working Moms Conversation Guides and any handouts, slides, or written material we provide are the property of Socratyc and are shared for your personal use. You may use them in your own conversations and share them with your own family or team. You may not sell them, republish them, remove Socratyc’s name from them, or present them as your own or as part of a paid program without written permission. The guides are practice tools, not legal, medical, financial, or employment advice, and the choices you make in your own conversations are yours.
The Friday gathering is held online. We will email confirmed guests a joining link; please do not share it. You are responsible for your own device and connection. We may mute, remove, or block any participant who disrupts the session. The same conduct expectations that apply in person apply online.
Sponsor logos on this site link to sponsor websites, which have their own terms and privacy practices that we do not control. Space sponsors provide the venues; Socratyc and Socratyc Sidekick present the Series. A sponsor’s participation is not an endorsement of any other sponsor, of Mothered Media, or of any guest’s views, and nothing said at a gathering should be taken as a sponsor’s professional advice.
We may change the date, time, venue, format, or program of any gathering, or cancel a gathering entirely, for reasons including weather, illness, venue availability, low registration, or changes to the national broadcast. We will notify confirmed guests by email as early as we can. Because the Series is free, no refund or reimbursement of travel, childcare, or other costs is owed for any change or cancellation.
You attend at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by Pennsylvania law, Socratyc, LLC, Nicole M. Alos, each space sponsor, and their respective owners, staff, and agents are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your attendance at or travel to a gathering, your use of this site, or your reliance on anything said or shared during the Series, except where caused by our own gross negligence or willful misconduct. If any liability is found despite this paragraph, it is limited to one hundred dollars.
The design, copy, and layout of this site, and the names Socratyc, Socratyc Sidekick, and Practice What Matters, belong to Socratyc, LLC. Sponsor logos belong to their owners and appear with permission. "All moms are working moms" is used here as a statement, not a claim of exclusive rights. You may share links to this site freely; please do not copy the site or its materials for another event without asking.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Chester County or Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and you agree to that venue. We would much rather hear from you first: most concerns can be resolved with an email.
We may update these terms before or during the Series. The effective date at the top will change when we do, and material changes will be emailed to confirmed guests. Continuing to attend after a change means you accept it.
Questions about these terms, your RSVP, or anything else about the Series: Nicole Alos, hello@socratyc.com, or on LinkedIn.
